About this project

Self Observatory is a personal knowledge garden — not a chronological blog, but a place where notes grow and connect. The underlying idea is a life in relationship: with the world outside, and with oneself.

Two kinds of notes

Field Notes record my encounters with the outside world — people, communities, the city, events, things I observe. Insight Notes turn inward — reflections, beliefs, questions, and how I slowly come to understand and change.

How to read

You can read linearly through each section, or wander by topic (broad regions of thought) and hashtag (specific labels) on the Explore page. The Constellation Map draws the notes as stars: the lines show where the two directions of observation meet — through a shared topic, a shared hashtag, or a connection I set deliberately.

Writing principles

Slow and deliberate. Each note carries only a few hashtags, and links only to notes that are truly related — so the map stays meaningful instead of turning into a spiderweb. The site is intentionally light: text first, images heavily compressed, video embedded from elsewhere.

Bilingual

Vietnamese is the primary language. Every note has an English counterpart; use the VI / EN switch at the top to move between them. Want to discuss? Each note has buttons to share to social media — that's where the conversations happen.
